July 23, 2021 Update:
Missouri
St. Louis County now requires everyone above the age of five to wear a mask in public places and on public transportation, regardless of vaccination status. Wearing a mask outdoors is strongly recommended. The new mask mandate comes as COVID cases begin to rise in the area, with the spread of the Delta variant. For more information, click here.
July 22 Update:
California
Los Angeles County now requires all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, wear a mask at indoor public settings. Hair salons, barbershops and other personal services business can perform services that require clients remove their mask (such as beard trims and waxing). Clients should put their mask back on after the service is performed. For more information, click here.
June 30 Update:
Washington
Hair salons, barbershops and other businesses are no longer required to follow capacity limits starting today. The state has also lifted its mask mandate but still recommends masks be worn by unvaccinated individuals. Businesses are also able to set their own mask requirements. Personal service businesses are recommended to use social distancing and appointment-based scheduling. The state is no longer under a public health order and has also ended the statewide mask requirement. The State of Emergency will end on July 6, 2021. To read more, click here.

Alaska

Personal service businesses are recommended to use social distancing protocols. Residents and businesses are strongly encouraged to follow CDC guidelines. To read more, click here.

Arizona

Arkansas

Hair salons and barbershops are required to maintain social distancing when not servicing clients. The state is currently in “Phase II” of the “Recovery Timeline.” To read more, click here.

Hair salons, barbershops and other businesses are no longer required to follow capacity limits or enhanced safety measures starting today. Masks are still required in certain settings such as public transportation and in schools. Unvaccinated individuals are still required to wear a mask in all indoor businesses and business owners may implement mask rules at their discretion. Colorado
Capacity: 100%
Personal service businesses are required to maintain social distancing. Capacity limits are determined by local public health orders. Local public health officials may use the state’s COVID Alert Level system to implement restrictions, however this is no longer a statewide order. Please check your county’s COVID-Alert Level here.
