Jamie Sea (@prettylittleombre) and Briana Cisneros (@brianacisneros) are two of the biggest balayage tastemakers in the biz—each with a massive Insta following and killer education. Here are two quickies for how they create this season’s hottest color trend—high-contrast balayage.

Level 5 to Level 9 Balayage
To create this warm-toned melt, Jamie used clay lightener + 40-volume developer and b3 Brazilian Bond Builder. She insulated and added gentle heat for 35 minutes, then glossed damp hair with Redken Shades EQ 9V + a splash of 9T and processed for 10 minutes. Be sure to watch how she creates that fab money piece!

Dynamic Dimension
To make the lighter pieces in her balayage really stand out, Briana added depth to her canvas, maximizing areas of brightness by strategically not brightening the entire head. She focused on melting the depth into the brighter bursts of blonde in the front and on the ends.
