It’s about to be raining cats and dogs at the Radisson Hotel in Merrillville, IN. That’s because Tricoci University of Beauty Culture (TUBC) is sending its cosmetology and esthetics students from their Highland, IN campus to take part in an artistic, animal-themed hair and style show at the Humane Society Calumet Area’s “Hair of the Dog” Gala.
The students will work alongside top dog the national hair stylist pro, Ben Mollin, star of the reality show Shear Genius and owner of Ben Mollin Hair Education. They will use their beauty skills to transform one another into ‘animals’ and show off their talented work during a fashion show at the gala. Proceeds from the show will help animals at the Calumet Area’s Humane Society.
“This is always one of the highlights of the year for our Highland students,” says Jill Marcodes, Executive Director of Cosmetology Education of TUBC. “It’s not only an opportunity for them to unleash their super-creative talents—assisted by one of the industry’s top hairstylists, Ben Mollin—but it’s in support of an important cause.”
The 12th annual show also includes a silent auction, cocktails and brews from Three Floyds Brewing and a buffet dinner. You can purchase tickets for the “Hair of the Dog” Gala, taking place on February 28, here!
