Tracey Cunningham’s Standout Golden Globe Formulas

The red carpet shined with shades of sun-kissed blonde, rich-velvety chocolate and chestnut brown hues at the 72nd Golden Globes. Three stars stood out with their modern, natural-looking (you, only better) hues. Celebrity colorist and Redken Creative Consultant, Tracey Cunningham, shares her red carpet-worthy A-list formulas.

For host Amy Poehler, Tracey used Redken’s new Blonde Idol Blue Oil Lightening System Oil Booster to achieve a customized lightened shade that adds depth and incorporates the babylights trend which mimics ultra-fine highlights. To ensure Amy’s color would shine onstage, Trace finished the formula with a Shades EQ Gloss.

To revitalize Kate’s color and achieve ultimate coverage with natural reflects, Tracey applied
Redken Cover Fusion, a low ammonia, 100 percent coverage color cream that gives hair a rich blend of copper and gold tones while adding density and fullness. For subtle highlights and added depth that would further enhance Kate’s updo, Tracey used Redken’s NEW Blonde Idol High Lift Conditioning Cream Color from the Professional Haircolor Collection.
To create Kate’s rich brunette with subtle highlights, use the following Redken formula:

effect. For a healthy shine, Tracey finished with Shades EQ Gloss. To recreate Dakota’s subtle ombre, use the following Redken formula:
