Despite popular belief, it is NOT always snowing in Canada. Springtime in our neighbor to the North is beautiful and to help usher in April showers and May flowers, Schwarzkopf Professional hosted their Essential Looks Collection in Calgary, Canada. To add a pop of color to their PEARLESENCE Collection, North American Color Director, Rossa Jurenas and North American Creative Director, Damien Carney incorporated some vibrant shades of lilac into lighter undertones to complete their model’s looks. Here are the fun spring-inspired looks they created!

Before

Schwarzkopf Professional Color Formulas
Formula A: IGORA ROYAL VARIO BLONDE PLUS
Formula B: IGORA ROYAL PEARLESCENCE 6-89 + IGORA ROYAL Oil Developer 3% (10-volume)
Formula C: IGORA ROYAL PEARLESCENCE 9.5-89 + 6-89 + IGORA ROYAL Oil Developer  6% (10-volume)

Application

1. Prelighten the hair to lift the base to a Level 6.

2. Use Formula A to lighten out the vertical sections through the top in a pyramid shape—starting from the recession area working into the peak of the crown.

3. Apply Formula B to the regrowth area. Concentrate on the regrowth area and softly flick in one sweeping motion. Apply Formula C to the midlengths and ends, keeping a soft fusion of color to create high shine and dimension.

4. In the prelightened pyramid shape, alternate shades of 9.5-29 (Lavender), 9.5-89 (Candy) and 9.5-43 (Mint). This will create a soft pearl-like effect through the disconnected areas on the top compartment.

Schwarzkopf Professional Color Formulas
Formula A: BLONDME Lightener + 6-volume developer
Formula B: IGORA ROYAL PEARLESCENCE 9.5-89
Formula C: IGORA ROYAL PEARLESCENCE 9.5-89 + IGORA ROYAL D-0

Application

1. Prelighten the regrowth with Formula A.

2. Smudge Formula B onto the regrowth while sweeping the color freehand throughout to create a soft fusion of color.

3. Take Formula C (Formula C is just Formula B diluted with IGORA ROYALD-0) and apply to the midlengths and ends, while fusing the color into each other to keep the color looking fluid throughout.

4. Painting freehand with the untouched side of the tint brush, apply 9.5-29 (Lavender) to create a multidimensional look.

5. At the shampoo bowl, add 9.5-89 (Candy) to the shampoo. Shampoo and rinse as you normally would. This leaves the hair with a finished gloss.
