He’s the Ryan Seacrest of the beauty industry—he does it all, makes it look easy and if you haven’t heard of him, you’re missing out. He’s Nick Stenson—celebrity stylist, Matrix Artistic Director, former salon owner and current international icon as your go-to guy for all things beauty—and he’s added another title to his list: Ulta Beauty’s Chief Artist Director.

Gaining that kind of success in this kind of industry is no easy task, and for Nick, it didn’t come without years of practice, determination and the belief that anything is possible. Now, he’s taking his passion, his experiences and his success to Ulta Beauty—to become a leader and beauty icon for stylists across the country.

Coined “the dreamer” of the new Ulta Pro Beauty team, we asked Nick for a little advice on how to make it in this industry. His answer, like most things he does, did not disappoint: “I wish I had a roadmap. Unfortunately, I don’t. But then, that’s the fun of this industry—you get to experiment and experience different things. And to be successful, you have to be open to challenge and falling on your face a few times, because that’s where you really learn.”

At this year’s Premiere Orlando, Nick won the BTC Stylist Choice Award for Best Brand Educator of the Year, and debuted the first-ever Ulta Beauty artistic presentation in front of 2,600 stylists.
