How-To: Chain-Lock Pony

1. Create a deep side part. On the same side, create a low pony. Secure and take a small section of hair and wrap around the holder.


2. Next, within the pony, divide hair into two sections. Now, part one of the sections in two and create a two-strand twist by twisting the section counter-clockwise that CROSSES OVER the bottom section.


3. Repeat the process by twisting each section that crosses over until you reach the end of the hair. Secure with a band.


4. Repeat the process with the other half of the pony.


5. Now, take both twisted sections and twist the section away from the client’s face on top of the section closest to her face in a counter-clockwise motion. Work down the hair and secure with a band.


6. Now, take a small section of hair at the end, spray with Redken Quick Dry 18 for grip and wrap around the band to finish the look.
