HOW-TO STEPS

  • 1

Section the hair into four quadrants. Then, for the ultimate bleach-and-tone effect, work in small, sliced back-to-back sections and apply Formula A. Remember that the finer your sections are, the more blended your root will be.

Once you get to the top of the second back quadrant, you will most likely be ready to pull all the foils out of the back sections. However, if it’s necessary, put the hair under a dryer for 5 minutes to allow processing to finish.

  • 3

After the back is complete, take foils out and apply Olaplex No.2. Then clip the back up and continue foiling the top two sections.

  • 4

After every foil is applied, pull the foils around the face and paint around the hairline to get any baby hair.

  • 5

When the hairline is almost done processing, pull the rest of the foils around the face. Then shampoo and condition.

  • 6

For a more blended root and to ensure the color grows out more seamlessly, apply Formula B on the roots for 10 minutes. Then rinse the root out while holding up the ends. Shampoo, condition, blow-dry and style as desired.
