Find Out Who Won Sport Clips 2017 “The Look” Competition

Six Sport Clips stylists competed in front of 3,000 people at the 2017 National Huddle to showcase their haircutting skills and creativity in the annual “The Look” competition.

 

“Sport Clips continues to grow as the employment option of choice for stylists, and having the opportunity to be creative in a high-level competition such as ‘The Look’ is just one of the reasons,” says Julie Vargas Sport Clips senior director of career opportunities.

 

The judges for this year’s competition included Danny Amorim, GIBS Grooming team member; Tonya Hanna, American Crew national education manager; Jacob Rodriguez, Sexy Hair educator and Jason Reyes, Paul Mitchell international education trainer.

 

The Winners:

Winner—Chelsea Smith
Indianapolis ($2,500 and hairstyling tools)

 

 

Chelsea described her winning men’s style as, “A little volume on top, faded down with a clipper-over-comb technique.” She used Sexy Hair’s Style Sexy and Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Hair and Body Moisturizer® products.

 

2nd Place—Miranda Rodgers-Brogaard
Toronto ($1,500 and hairstyling tools)

 

 

3rd Place—Mayra Martinez
San Angelo, Texas ($1,000 and hairstyling tools)
