ABS 2017: What You Need To Know

America’s Beauty Show is back! From March 25-27, 2017 join 65,000 salon owners, cosmetologists, colorists, nail techs, barbers and estheticians at McCormick Place in in Chicago. Owned and produced by Cosmetologists Chicago, an association of 14,000 students and pros, ABS offers 400+ exhibits featuring hair care and color, nails and skin care, tools and salon furnishings.

 

The ABS Runways, including the CosmoProf Main Stage (featuring Anthony Mascolo, Guy Tang, Ricardo Santiago, Anna Cantu and more) and The SalonCentric Theater-in-the-Round (with Sam Villa, Justin Isaac, Ammon Carver, Chrystofer Benson, Nicholas French and more) come to life with non-stop education during all three days of ABS. Here’s what else will be there!

 

  • For the first time, the International Esthetics, Cosmetics and Skin Care Expo (IECSC) co-locates with ABS to bring a world-renowned skin care and spa expo and educational forum.
  • The Textured HairFair provides the latest for all hair textures and curl types, talks technical keys to service success and provides ways to implement your new knowledge in the salon.
  • Intercoiffure hosts two business panels: “Women in Leadership,” led by Karen Gordon, and “Best Practices for Salon Success,” led by Andreas Zafiriadis.
  • The Beauty Changes Lives Experience on Sunday, March 26 features NextGen talent from American Crew, CND, Matrix, Mizani, Pivot Point, Redken, TIGI® and Wella Professionals. The event showcases talented young stylists’ interpreting “The Art of Prediction.” Matrix co-founders Arnold and Sydell Miller will receive the Legacy Award.
  • Stylists can take classes for Listen. Support. Connect., the required domestic violence and sexual assault training for Illinois license renewal.
