But Joico Celebrity Colorist, Denis de Souza, says that several stars got it right this year, with beautiful, dimensional color and on-trend color deigns that are rich and lush, with lighter, brighter ends. Here’s are Denis’s top picks for the best red-carpet hues, along with his Joico recipes for recreating each look.
Michelle Dockery’s Rich Espresso
Why: Michelle’s cool chestnut shade is rich and shiny and offers a striking contrast to her porcelain complexion.

Formula A (base): Joico Vero K-PAK Color ½ 4N/Dark Brown + ½ 4A/Dark Ash Brown + 20-
volume Vero K-PAK Color Veroxide. Process 35 minutes.
Formula B (gloss): Joico Vero K-PAK Chrome ½ A5/Medium Ash Brown + ½ A7/Dark Ash Blonde + Vero K-PAK Chrome Activator Crème Developer.
