3 Emmys Styles from Oribe
At this year’s Emmy Awards, television’s biggest stars and their dates were dressed to perfection. But we all know their red carpet looks wouldn’t be complete without a little bit of luxe in their hair. Zooey Deschanel, Camila Alves and Stacey Dash were among the many celebs whose tresses got the Oribe treatment for this year’s show. See how the Oribe team prepped these stars for the big night!
Zooey Deschanel: ‘70s-Inspired Soft Curls
To create the New Girl star’s soft, glamorous curls, stylist Nicki Alkire applied Oribe Supershine Light Moisturizing Cream all over damp hair and did a quick blow-dry. After setting Zooey’s hair in heated clips, Nicki sprayed each section with Oribe Soft Lacquer Heat Styling Spray. Once the clips were taken out, she gave Zooey’s hair a good brush and finished the look with Oribe Superfine Hair Spray.
Camila Alves: Straight and Sleek
Camila Alves looked stunning as she walked the red carpet with her husband, True Detective star and lead actor nominee Matthew McConaughey. Stylist Jasmin Robles achieved a pin-straight and sleek look for Camila using Oribe Crème for Style to smooth her curls, Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil to add shine and Oribe Fiber Groom Elastic Texture Paste to keep any flyaways at bay.
Stacey Dash: Modern-Day Marilyn
Stylist Eduardo Ponce transformed the (seemingly ageless) Clueless star’s blonde tresses into a modern-day Marilyn Monroe look for an Emmys afterparty. Eduardo prepped her wet hair with Oribe Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse and Maximista Thickening Spray from the mid-shaft to ends, then followed by blow-drying the hair with a round brush. After creating a deep side part, he used a half-inch curling iron to curl everything under and toward Stacey’s face, pinning the curls in place to set. Once the curls were cool, Eduardo brushed, teased and shaped them with Oribe Superfine Hair Spray. A little Oribe Rough Luxury Molding Wax added more shape and structure to the curls while Superfine Strong Hair Spray finished the look.
