3 Bright & Bold Balayage Tips From @prettylittleombre

close formula

Jamie Sea (@prettylittleombre) took the BTC Stage at Premiere Orlando 2017 to demo one of her signature sun-kissed looks on our very own Quin Gable. The result? The ultimate #SummerHairGoals! Jamie not only demoed the transformation for a full audience, but she also dropped these three balayage tips!

1. Jamie’s Go-To Toning Formula
Jamie’s go-to toning formula for sandy blonde perfection? Redken Shades EQ 9NV + 9V! “I love Redken Shades EQ to tone after a balayage because it is quickly visible,” shares Jamie. “I often dilute my toner with clear, then leave it on for 10 minutes.”

2. Keep It Bright
Create babylights around the face for a brighter effect. Foiling these pieces allow for more controlled placement. The result? A pop of light and dimension!

3. Avoid Hollow Spots
Make sure that you are always looking underneath each section to be sure the ends are fully saturated. Keeps midlengths clean and the finish will be dimensional balayage perfection.

PLUS, here is the color formula Jamie used onstage!

Color Formulas
Formula A (balayage): Scruples Power Blonde Lightener + 30-volume developer

Formula B (toner): Redken Shades EQ 9NV + 9V + processing solution
