still figuring out how to post...

OK- In Beauty School in WA they taught us the "French" method.  We used long shears [6.5], had the guests stand for the "basic outline", did vertical layers and took bigger partings and sections than most.

After beauty school, I specialized in color at a high end salon and was trained really well in L'oreal Majirel, Majirouge, Richesse, Dia.....

Well, I relocated to Idaho... now I am about to start cutting hair again, and I feel like a newbie.  Does anyone know of this "French" technique?  Are there good DVD's out there?

Thank you so much for any thoughts!!!!

I'm afraid my days in school (in the 70's) was a Pivot Point technique, then a variety of classes with Sassoon, Dwight Miller and other's from the day, what were termed Master Stylists, is and has been the best way for me to learn to cut, that and I try and be a innovative. So don't freak out HollyMarie, I'm sure you'll do well. There's tons of cutting DVD's out there.
