??? Anyone heard of having your hair loafed?

We have had a request to loaf someone's hair, the young man has moved from a large metro area Los Angeles and called to make an appointment to have his hair loafed. I asked for a photo since I haven't the foggiest idea what that is. Can anyone help me out??

Ok, sounds like he wants it sliced with color - but does he want hi-lites or low-lites and does it want it thick sliced or thin sliced - and color - wheat, italian, french, or rye? ha ha lol.
