First Student Haircut
Posted: Sunday, July 29, 2007 12:46:49 AM
Hi All, I will be doing my first haircut on a real person this coming Monday, I have not had any real practice before even on mannequin heads.I am really nervous!! I did a perm on the lady this past Friday and it turned out really well also she is a very patient and understanding client but when it comes to cutting hair I feel lost. Any ideas on how to keep my nerves at bay so I can focus well?

Merely keep this simple thought in mind ... that you are exactly where you want to be (beauty school); doing exactly what you want to do (learning a be a hairdresser)

Feeling like a novice is what you should be feeling!!  Be proud that you are fulfilling your dreams ... look at it as adventure.

Good luck!
