Help with Asian Hair

Hi, Can anyone recommend a sure fire way for strong Asian hair to hold a large barrel curl through the day. I've tried Redken Hotsets or hairspray with my large barrel iron, it only holds for a couple of hours. Same for blow drying onto velcros. I don't want the "look" of hot roller ends, and need the lift at the base with a continuous uniform wave. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to wet set this kind of hair where I work. Any suggestions?
