Is anyone here a philadelphia hairstylist/colorist?

Hello. I am a transplant from New Jersey. I am trying to figure out if I should get my license up here. I will have to go back for 250 hours, since Pennsylvania has no reciprocity! I am losing my mind! I have been a hairstylist for over six years. After I get my license, I will be looking for part-time work. Any suggestions? Also, do hairstylists make good money in philly? Thanks for your time!

I am from philly, and just opened my own salon in N.J. There is money to be made in both states, just watch what area of philly you work in, I worked in the Main Line for several years before moving to So. Jersey There is alot of money out there, and the clientele is different.

Good Luck let me know if I can be of any help..

In New Hope Pa which I guess is next to Philly, there is a salon called 'Hello Gorgeous' It's a pretty good salon.  I thought PA did have reciprocity, we change all the time I guess.  What school are you thinking of going to?
