I didn't understand this post, what supplies are you looking for? General or specific?

are you a licensed professional or consumer?  if LP, are you working in a salon?
if you are a LP, contact the distributors in your area (depending on product lines)
if you are a consumer, check the yellow pages, or ask someone who's hair you like for a salon that can help you.

I'm a LP, just moved back to the area.  I guess I will contact distributors--didn't know if anyone was from the area that knew of a good store.

I wonder where hairmaven is? He knows NY NY. I always use www.marlobeauty.com and www.theindustrysource.com for my basics, but as for specifics, I don't know NY. Going to company websites may provide links to distributers in the area you need.

Note: I've found the industry source's new website to be hard to navigate, but they have a beauty book catalog of their merchandise that comes out every 6 months that is invaluable to have. I think that you will probably have to pay about $10.00 for one if you don't do an order. But if you do order from them, it automatically will come to you by mail twice a year for free. Try Royal Beauty Supply or Paramount (same co)  Emiliani's on Staten Island.  I don't know of any myself in Manhatten, (I tend to stay outta there) Both are very good and professional only!
