Rusk Beta Blade Problem
Posted: Thursday, January 06, 2005 7:15:00 AM
i perchased rusk beta blades at salon international in london 04 they worked for about hlfway through the first hair cut then would not close, i was given a replacment pair, to find that after a little while using them they catch and pull hair. but if i turn them over so that the thumb is in the finger hole they work better but not perfect. i love the texture i get with them and do not want to give up with them, but i would like to know if other people have had the same problem, anyone?

Using those type of "chunking" shears you have to have a very light touch. It's very easy to use a lot of force and cause the blades to cross and this will either nic the cutting blade and/or dull them. I find it best to keep the blades loose (using the tension screw) and force myself to keep light tension.

Check out the Karg 8 tooth thinning shear at www.karg.com

I use this one and like it over my hikari's.

Hairmaven--Are you sure that's the correct website?
I can't find it or anything else about Karg shears. I would like to find some chunkers that work well.

Thanks. Are they called the Karg-8 or something?
