There is an episode of "that 70's show" when jackie's mother, played by brooke shields appears and has her hair waved/ curly. Can some1 please explain how this is done, either with a curling iron or by leave the brush in. I would appreciate it if you could email me at oelias0546@rogers.com
thanks!

Several different ways.

1. Round brush (slightly smaller than the curl you want) and a HOT HOT HOT blow dryer. Take a section no larger than the size of the round brush, blow dry section until completely dry, NOW get the section of hair really hot (as hot as a curling iron would make it) by continuing to round brush each section, when it is hot from root to ends, roll the brush up to the scalp with TENSION and let it cool. You can also take the brush out and roll the hair up in a pin curl, or use a velcro roller and let it cool.

2. If the hair is smooth, Hot Rollers. Use with tension and make sure they are hot when the go in and COLD when they come out.

3. Curling Iron. Take vertical sections, and with out opening the curling iron hold the iron vertical at the base of the section, handle of curling iron (where your holding it) towards the ceiling and the barrel towards the floor, wrap in a spiral manner from root to end and hold the tips of the hair close to the iron and cook it for a few seconds. Pull the iron out and let the hair unravel.

Each of these techniques will give you slightly different looks, but are in the same arena.
