Should i use Rusk Elimin8 Color Corrector - Color Corrector Kit???

I am having my Mother in law do my hair because shes the only one i trust that has her lisence and has had her own salon for over 4 years now even though many of my friends at my cosmo school have been begging to touch my hair because its long, healthy and very thick! So anyways - I really want to get my hair up to a level 6, with very thin highlights, very much like the way jennifer lopez has it in her "on the floor" video. When i was a eight grader or a freshman in highschool i dyed my hair black with the loreal dye from the store which was a VERY idiot thing to do - but heres the catch at that time i only dyed it that one time and i cut my hair into a bob many times ive always cut my hair never dyed it. So up until recent end of 2010 my bob had grew out because i wanted to let my hair grow, and i had my mother in law even my hair into just a( line )  cut so my hair would grow faster so shes been cutting my ends ever since.. and my hair grew soooo long to my mid back, she then in mid december put low lights in my hair which were chocolate brown they had a redish tone to them. before she did that, she did a test strand with just the color without bleaching it and she said my hair was all virgin again because i had cut it short so much the only thing now is i only have probably about half of an inch in my hair of that black dye from eight grade but its not a problem to cut it off when i do the color corrector if its a problem. so anyways i started going to cosmo school and i got peekaboos done, they were lightened with the wella lightner&toner in one bottle came out pretty good but i am a latina so i hadnt doubted there was going to be an orangy tone.. but then i put a color touch over it which was a 4/6 (vibrant reds) - and a all over color of 6/73 with 30 developer. and before i did all of that i did a Sebastian cellophane of gold red... and after i did the peekaboos and all over color which was around my birthday in april i did a cellophane again in May but i did a golden blonde cellophane which made my peekaboos look reallly good and made my hair shiny. So that is about everything thats been in my hair the last few months - My mother in law bought 3 boxes of the Rusk Elimin8 Color Corrector - Color Corrector Kit which cost up to 79 dollars.  will this workout on my hair or should i use the pravana color remover?? She knows what shes doing, but shes never used the Rusk product, there was no more pravana at salon centric here in arizona so we were recommended the Rusk color remover at Cosmoprof & the lady said it worked really really good. Ive read reviews on both & they say both are really good. Whats the best advice step by step towards what we should do?

the rusk and pravana removers are the same thing, but be aware that they only work on oxative color molecules, not direct dyes. so the cellophane will not be removed by this product. the only thing it will do is shrink the artificial color molecules to a smaller size so they can easily be removed from the hairshaft, without altering your natural pigment. the rinsing step is the step that actually removes the molecules.
