(FingerWaves) is a iphone/itouch app made by a independent hairsylist for a independent hairstylist

today is a great day :)
It took me 9 month but i did it . My journey began 2 years ago . when after 25 years as a hair stylist, and 15 as a salon owner My wife and i moved to South Carolina for some peaceful retirement .Wow was i wrong . retirement sucks, and it can make you go crazy . We as stylist need to be around other people to survive lol . It was then that i discovered booth renting .Pa does not allow booth renting so it was all new to me . So i found a nice salon and started all over again. I soon realized that there was no computer in the salon . So how was i going to keep track and have all the information i need to conduct my business of hair design . My solution was to create a app for the iphone and itough for the independent stylist and nail tech .Fingerwaves and Fingernails took me 9 month to create . It allows us to add, edit, and delete appointments . Add, edit, and deletes clients and their vital information. Mass email and mass text all clients for promotions when we have down time . But most of all it allows us to except credit cards Chair side and wireless. this app was created for independent hairstylist by a independent hairstylist .Unlike any PDA's iphone and itouch will not loose any information do to power loss.
I am very proud that i am a hair styilst of 25 years and counting . please feel free to visit my website fingerwaves.info
your thoughts and opinions matter to me . just click contact us and i will receive your email

I hope you have a good day too......

Unfortunately Fingerwaves is NOT designed for Hairstylists, it is designed for Nail Techs.

The PSA Personal Salon Assistant IS designed for Hairstylists and has just been released on the iPhone and avilable for sale in the App store this Friday.

PSA comes with Patented Hair Color Formulating Software. It also does Standing Appointments and the extremely important Double Booking for multiple chemical processing.

PSA has been approved by the top 15 Hair Color Companies in the world and will be part of the Sassoon educational programs.

3000 Cosmetology Schools across this country are using PSA in their class rooms today.

Individual PSA Hair Color Formulating Apps are being used in over 12 Countries.

PSA is the Leader in hand held software for Hairstylist and has been since 2003.

Don't be fooled by Fingernails...their name says it all...for nail techs. They are trying to extend theirselves into our market due to lack of sales. They dropped their price from $159 down to $69 due to No Sales.

PSA Personal Salon Assistant is the proven choice of Hairstylists Worldwide.

Salontechnologies is offering Early Buy-In deals for their Three Stage Release on the iPhone. First level buy-in this week will be $99(save $150), Second level buy-in will be $199 which includes Point of Sale and reports(save $50), third level will be with the release of Credit Card processing for sale at $249.

Salontechnologies already has over 3000 pre-sales of PSA Personal Salon Assistant.

For more information, go to www.salontechnologis.com or email them at info@salontechnologies.com or check them out in the Apple App Store.

It is true FingerNails is not designed for hair stylist . But FingerWaves is, complete with a point of sale so powerful it also allows credit card processing chair side and wireless.FingerWaves
allows for mass email and mass texting . i reduced the price because we want every professional stylist and nail tech the opportunity to afford these apps in what is already difficult financial times . we are not looking to get as much as we can for it . our price from the beginning was far less for alot more than psa who's price was 249 dollars .

Both OPI and Salon Centric (national distribution owned by L'oriel) are currently field testing both FingerNails and FingerWaves in L.A for distribution and company customization . FingerWaves and FingerNails was designed by hair stylst for hair stylist to meet there professional need . we are hairstylist , not a software company . that's why we feel 69.99 is a fare price.

iPhone Apps

Here's the thing though. The apps discussed here are cool and all, but not practical for hairstylists unless you are a booth rental type stylist who has enough time on their hands to bother with booking and POS tasks. Although useful to the stylist that wants to manage it all, it's not practical for busy commission based stylists like myself, not to mention the expense does not justify using it just for managing a clientele base.

What busy stylists want and need is an app that focuses only on clientele management and promotion, at an affordable price.

It's a good thing my app is nearly ready for launch, because it offers that and much much more, minus the booking and POS functions since that is what salon management software and Salon Coordinators are for. :)

If you are a hairstylist that wants an app that will help you perform your consultations more accurately and efficiently, track referrals, growth, retention and much much more, and you have a competent coordinator/front desk team to book and close out your guests, not to mention a easy to use and attractive one, my app will be available at a much more affordable price than $60 in mid January, so keep an eye out for it on the app store....

Until then, for obvious reasons, it will stay a secret until it is officially launched, but I just wanted to let hairstylists know that something much more affordable and practical is on its way very soon.

I am looking forward to your app!  I'm about to open my own salon and want to use software that has an iPhone app so I can manage my clients on the go.  I think the big thing is just having your schedule and the ability to modify it through the iPhone.

I have this incredible system, it's called an appointment book and a pencil with an eraser on the end.

It has been invaluable.

Hi again Petey, I'm glad that my presence was missed, I'm more used to it being dissed, ha ha...

I have my cell phone and a $1.00 notebook with me...when a client calls I make the appointment and voila!

It's completely unnecessary to have phone apps. for this task... it's like I always remind people when they talk about buying $400.00 scissors...Vidal Sassoon became the most famous haircutter in the world using $20.00 scissors, so get over it and get a $1.00 notebook and a pencil!
