Color Question!
Posted: Wednesday, October 28, 2009 9:34:24 PM
HI! I am coloring someone that is a level 4 she has had previous color thats is a level 6 with highlights. There is a good amount of regrowth. She wants to go red with face frame highlights. 1. i have never done highlights and color at the same time, how do i do it? 2. will i have to do something to the regrowth, so it wont look weird?

since you have never done this technique before, maybe you should do the colors separate, as this is a color change, as opposed to a touch-up.decide on the level she wants to be for the red, and formulate that color for the roots, pull the matching shade through in a demi-permanent color so that you have an even red tone throughout. process, shampoo and fully dry the hair. then weave out your highlights, bleach with the appropriate volume(10 or 20)peroxide, process, wash, then if needed, go over everything with a glaze to bring it all together and add dimension.
