I am re-entering the beauty industry and was wondering if it has caught up with the great age of technology we are in? The Uk and Australia offer online supply purchasing to salons. Does anyone know if this is available, or will be available in the U.S. anytime soon? I understand the threat of diversion, but a simple requirement of a salon license number should fix that, right?

You say your re-entering the beauty industry. How long have you been gone? Check out TNG Worldwide (http://www.tngworldwide.com/) Not only can you purchase hair, nail, tanning, beauty, spa and massage supplies online, you can design a salon, outfit it with all the equipment and sign up for classes too. You're right, though. You must be a licenced professional or salon owner to purchase.
