Change is Good

Keeping your client’s style current is just plain good for business. If you don’t propose new ideas, says Kathy Jager, author of As the Chair Turns, the risk is that she will not come back because she is bored with your unwillingness to change. Even if she’s not open to change, adds Kathy, it’s important to bring it up with each consultation. Suggest a few face-framing highlights. Recommend cutting off length and adding layers or creating a fun texture or fashionable fringe. “Often a client will be thrilled to make a change,” says Jager, “if only someone would ask.”
