Say
the Word
When doing color consultations, says Sarah Brookes,
European Technical Director for TIGI,
your clients will probably fall into one of three categories—Classic,
Glamour or Street. Specific words and concepts will resonate with
each. Tell your “Street” client you will “brighten
up” her life with “absolute color” and “contrasting
tones.” Promise the Glamour girl that you’ll create a
hue that’s “provocative, striking and sexy.” Use
panels of colors in complementary tones to enhance texture and define
health and richness. For the Classic client, talk about techniques
that promote shine and reflection and promise hues that are “naturally
beautiful.”
