Goodness Many clients request caramel highlights but what does that really mean? Caramel means something different to almost everyone,” says BTC Color Education Director Beth Minardi. “So show your client photos and let her show you what she thinks caramel is. Then you can formulate to correctly achieve this tone.” She adds, “For example, producing a Level 7 blonde caramel on a Level 5 requires use of a Level 9 color formula.
