Section out the top profile from recession to recession across the lower crown. Section vertically behind the ear on each side. Section horizontally from the top of the ear above the occipital. Divide the lower back profile in half horizontally then comb down and cut to establish length. Subdivide this section into five equal vertical subsections. Starting with the center section, hold the hair straight back at a 45 degree elevation, and with fingers vertical, cut down and out lowering elevation and cut to existing length to remover corner.

Drop down the section at the occipital and subdivide into five equal vertical subsections. Beginning with the center subsection, hold the hair straight back and elevate to 90 degrees, using the top of the underneath section as your guide, cut up and out, lowering elevation to finish at existing perimeter. Repeat on remaining subsections.

Starting at the center, beginning at a 45 degree elevation, cut up and over ending at approximately 135 degrees. Once you have cut up and over, re-comb the same subsection, and use the weaving technique for texture. Repeat on remaining back subsections, and in front of the ear on each side. The section in front of the ear is done in one section.

Divide fringe into three radial subsections. Starting with the center subsection, hold hair at a low elevation, and using the guide from the top, cut down and out. Cut to a length slightly shorter than the perimeter. Laterally direct each side of the fringe to the center section and repeat movements. Point cut to connect fringe to perimeter.
