The crop is still the hottest cut for the season, but it’s pointless if you don’t know how to style it. This look from David Cotteblanche for René Furterer has a glossy, textured finish with artfully tousled layers and height at the crown that infuse this short cut with an edgy rocker vibe.

HOW-TO STEPS

    1. To protect color-treated hair and keep the color fresh and vibrant, shampoo and condition with René Furterer OKARA radiance enhancing shampoo and radiance enhancing conditioner. Follow with René Furterer OKARA radiance enhancing spray for leave-in protection against fading.

    2. Blow out hair with a Turbo Power 3200 blow dryer, using small round brush to turn sections under, giving hair more lift and fullness. Switch to a medium round brush for sections at the crown.

    Next, flat-iron hair to lock in smooth finish; lift each section straight up, and flat iron from middle of section to the ends.

    Rub a dab of René Furterer STYLING WAX between palms of hands for smooth, even distribution of product; massage into hair from
    underneath.

    Back-comb in front for lift. Flip over to one side for rakish, gamine look, and then run through with hands to loosen up layers.
