HOW-TO STEPS

    Model’s hair:
    Natural Level 5.

    STEP 1:
    Section crown in asymmetrical zig-zag partings. Section free hair into about 5 vertical partings around the head.

    STEP 2:
    On the triangular sections, create foils taking 3 back-to-back slices per triangle. Apply Basic White Powder Lightener mixed with 10-volume developer. Process to Orange contributing pigment.

    STEP 3:
    While foils are processing, mix Formula:
    2 oz. Premium Crème 5N with 2 oz. 10-volume Premium Crème Developer. Apply to hair in top section, roots to ends. Process 30 minutes. Shampoo and towel dry.

    STEP 4:
    Lastly, mix and apply Overlay Formula:
    2 oz. Premium Crème 6N mixed with 2 oz. 10-volume Premium Crème Developer. Process 20 minutes.

    MIXING GUIDE: Premium Crème color is for bowl-and-brush application.
    Use with Premium Crème Dedicated Developer.
    Choose from 10-, 20-, 30- and 40*-volume strengths.
    To mix all shades except high-lifts: 2 oz. Premium Crème with 2 oz. Premium Crème Developer.
    To mix high-lift shades (12N, 12A, 12GN, 12G): 2 oz. Premium Crème color with 4 oz. 40* volume Premium Crème Developer.

    APPLICATION: Apply in either a virgin or a retouch application. (High-lift shades: Do not pull through to ends on a retouch application.)

    TIMING: Up to 30 minutes. High-lift shades (12N, 12A, 12GN, 12G), Red (R), High-Intensity Reds (RR), resistant gray: up to 45 minutes.

    NOTE: If hair has been relaxed or permed, wait at least one week and one shampoo before applying. Less timing may be needed. Strand test first.
    *40-volume developer is not recommended for permed or relaxed hair.
