ARROJO Studio hosted its 4th Annual Underground event on September 9th in New York City, in a space that is to become the new 13,000 square foot ARROJO Academy and Salon. It was here that the ARROJO Artistic Team unveiled the new hair trends for 2008. 

The team’s forecasted looks for spring 2008 are based on the following concepts: Zero Degrees, Industrial, Gutter Chic and Disposable Manufacturing.  These concepts translate into a display of versatile, moveable shapes and structured outlines with deconstructed interiors and shattered out ends.

Zero Degrees: Cleverly constructed, free-flowing and contemporary, trend-savvy hairstyles hit like the light of a laser.  Rounded bowl shapes undercut for weightlessness, swing and movement bring out the beauty.  Deft shades of single monochromatic hair color changes the dynamic of each cut.  Precise technique.  Creative vision.  Phoenix rising.

Disposable Manufacturing: Change it up without commitment.  Use color pieces to make your style adaptable according to your mood inclination.  Magically creative red, orange and purple, green on brown, purple on black, or hints of yellow gold, all to define a variable cut and style.  Vibrant Colors.  Bold and obvious.  Hot for 2008.

Gutter Chic: Now showing dirty and disheveled deconstructed hair for both women and men.  Rounded layers aggressively cut from short to long with heavier, textured bangs that bare the brilliant brunt of malleable Gutter Chic.  Viciously shaped styles pop deliciously to suit the “lets party in a dirty basement” aesthetic.  Keep it real.

Industrial: Graduated asymmetrical shapes, messy short cropped cuts, swing bowls, and shaggy layers are new-mod inspired and display tomorrow’s desire for movement and freedom. Soft and stylized, just-rolled-out-of-bed looks with texture that defines loose and easy styles. Big time sensuality.
