jcpenney Promotes Paula Malloy

One of the beauty industry’s “leading ladies,” Paula Malloy, has received a well-earned promotion. We just got word that Paula has been promoted to DVP Divisional Merchandise Manager Salon at jcpenney. In addition to her previous responsibilities of leading the retail buying function and managing the service component, Paula will oversee the artistic direction and ongoing education of jcpenney’s 15,000 salon team members.
Paula joined jcpenney in 2003 as director of marketing. Working on behalf of the nearly 950 jcpenney salons, Paula has assumed ever-increasing responsibilities for shaping, implementing and leading the division’s marketing, education, retailing, public relations and merchandising strategies. She also had the distinction of being the first woman to serve as president of the International SalonSpa Business Network (ISBN). During her time in office, she lead the ISBN in partnering with the Professional Beauty Association to work on government relations in Washington, D.C. in order to improve financial compensation for professional stylists and to upgrade the profession as a whole. She continues to serve on the ISBN Board of Directors.
Paula comments, “I’m so excited to be working with the great jcp salon team. We are committed to creating America’s favorite salon as jcpenney continues its transformation to become America’s favorite store.”
