Jim and Cheryl Markham Named "Entrepreneurs of the Year"

Jim and Cheryl Markham, founders of ColorProof Evolved Color Care, are among the “winning-est” manufacturers in the biz.  Their latest trophy?  The innovative product pioneers just picked up the 2012 “Entrepreneur of the Year” award from Beauty Industry West (BIW).  Jim and Cheryl were honored for their multiple contributions to the professional beauty industry and exceptional entrepreneurial spirit.   What’s more, they’re the first recipients selected from the hair care industry to receive the award.

“Beauty Industry West’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award is presented to very few distinguished individuals who have made a significant contribution to our industry,” says BIW President, Irena Kojouharova.

After a warm welcome from Kojouharova and a brief introduction, the Markhams shared their personal story and pathway to success. “It is a tremendous honor to be recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year,” said Jim. “My late dear friend and mentor, Paul Newman, once said that some people have a little luck and some have big luck. I was fortunate enough to be blessed with the latter.”

The Markhams are quick to share their good fortune with others as demonstrated through their commitment to City of Hope and the Paul Newman Serious Fun Children’s Network. According to Cheryl, “Success without giving back is not success.”
