Walk to Break the Silence With PureOlogy

Pureology Serious Color Care is proud to continue its partnership with the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) as the exclusive hair care and styling Premier Sponsor. Throughout 2010, the NOCC will host a series of Walks to Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer, and Pureology will be on-site at each walk distributing reusable travel kids with Hydrate Shampoo and Hydrate Condition to participants.

Additionally, Pureology will offer a Limited Edition SuperSmooth NOCC Trio Kit during September and October and will make a $25,000 donation to the NOCC in conjunction with this promotion. The kit features information about the signs and symptoms of ovasrian cancer to educate women about this disease.

“Ovarian cancer is the deadliest of gynecologic cancers, but survival rates greatly increase when the disease is detected early. Since there is currently no early detection test, awareness is the key to early diagnosis,” says Shae Kalyani, vice president of marketing for Pureology. “Pureology is working with the NOCC, salons and consumers to increase participation for each Walk to Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer and generate funds to raise awareness about ovarian cancer.”

You can help Break the Silence by participating in a local walk. The program kicks off on August 28 in Austin, TX, and concludes December 5 in Phoenix, AZ, so there’s plenty of time to get involved.
