Dear Sam Villa,

You were the first Redken artist I had the pleasure of getting to see right when I finished beauty school! I was so interested in everything you were doing, I couldn’t wait to see you again!

Dear Tabatha,

You made me think long and hard about the total atmosphere and design of a salon before I even thought about opening a salon! It gave me confidence that my new salon would be inviting for new clients. You have made me the best manager I can be; I even followed your advice and created a handbook for my employees to follow so if they broke the rules, it wasn’t me being “mean” but their fault for not following rules. It allows us to maintain a team atmosphere. Thank you.

Dear Mary,

I love you. Thanks to you, I have been able to stay updated with the latest trends and techniques. I am constantly seeking innovative material and love to experiment with what I have learned. Because of all the amazing info I have found on BTC, I was able to booth rent starting the day I received my license! THANKS!

Dear BTC,

Finally…there’s a company that loves the beauty industry and knows the hard work and talent of inspiring newcomers as well as icons in the industry. When I first became a stylist, we were not labeled as the professionals that we were. We were made to think anyone could be in our profession! Your education and articles on how the industry has changed and evolved proves the point that the beauty industry is a challenging moneymaker that encourages education. I love your magazine and website. Keep up the AWESOME work BTC!

I admire your work because it is simple, elegant and unique. Like Shakespeare said, “All the world is a stage.” Keep the good work!

Dear Sylvia Glover

You are not only my mentor, but also my second mom. You have given more opportunities to learn the craft and hone my skills then I could ever could have had on my own. You have shown me so much love, support and patience in a way only a mother would. I aspire to be the nurturing, talented and awe-inspiring woman that you are.

To Paul Mitchell:

You believed in something. You gave up everything and even lived in a car! You didn’t quit—you went for more and promoted your product door to door! What an inspiration! You taught me that no matter what, we should never quit and always go for what we believe in!

To Mr. Robert:

You were a cosmo teacher of mine in the ’80s, and you were an inspiration and master of technique. You taught real life hairstyles, and offered great counseling for us when we got our licenses and found ourselves in the real world. You taught us confidence, or at least how to present ourselves with confidence if we were nervous with new clients and salon owners. Thanks Mr. Robert, you were the best and still remembered more than 20 years later!
